Welcome to Hart – SA’s premier field cropping trial site.

Hart is South Australia’s premier agronomic field site, managed by farmers to provide independent information and skills to the industry.
Located between Blyth and Brinkworth in South Australia’s Mid North, Hart is situated on 40 hectares owned by the Hart Field-Site Group Inc. Click here for map.
Our annual trials are show-cased throughout each growing season on site at our Winter Walk  in July, main Field Day  in September, and at our Spring Twilight Walk  in October.  Our annual Getting The Crop In Seminar is also not to be missed.

Our main Field Day held in September each year, attracts hundreds of visitors. With a rolling program of half hour sessions conducted simultaneously throughout the day, highly regarded specialists speak at each trial, backed up by a comprehensive Field Day Book included in your entry fee.

Our Winter and Spring Walks are free events. Join us in an informal group to hear from guest speakers with trial progress reports, observations on how various varieties and treatments are performing. Our Spring Walk finishes with a BBQ and drinks.

Visitors to Hart include High School, TAFE and University ag students, farmers, agronomists, ag scientists, interstate farm groups, and ag industry representatives from all aspects of agricultural business. If you would like to arrange a visit to Hart, please contact us.  

Trials results

Trials information and results are presented to farmers, agronomists, students and representatives from all areas of the agriculural industry at our crops walks, field day, and through press releases in the rural media.

Our comprehensive Trials Results Book is released each year in February / March.  Gold and Silver members receive a copy as part of their membership.  If you are not a member of Hart and would like to purchase a copy, please contact us.
